The upper gate
In before the ship crowds
We start at the upper gate while the marble still holds the night’s cool. For a while, Curetes Street belongs to you, the storks and the cleaners. By mid-morning it will not.
Temple of Hadrian
Reading the stone, not reciting it
At the Temple of Hadrian your guide stops talking dates and starts pointing at details: the Medusa over the arch, the fig-leaf frieze, the graffiti a bored Roman left behind. This is the part no audio guide does.

Every tour is private — your group only, with the licensed guide, vehicle, driver, pickup and parking fees included. Day tours start from €33 per person for groups of 8 or more; smaller groups get a private quote. No strangers added, and a guide who knows where to find the best of everything.
Any group size: we guide groups of 1 to 52 people in one coach, and for larger groups we arrange several guides and coaches. We once ran a week-long tour around Turkey for 200 people in five buses at the same time. Small or large, your group is simple and easy for us.

Before the gate even opens
You will not queue for a ticket
Gezginol holds a travel-agency priority pass, so we buy your entrance tickets before you arrive and take you in through the fast lane entrance. In high summer that is twenty to forty minutes you spend inside the ancient city instead of standing outside it.
It applies to every tour we run, at every site we guide — Ephesus and the Terrace Houses, Meryem Ana Evi, and on our sister sites Istanbul and Cappadocia too.
And we add nothing to the ticket. The fast pass is ours to give; the entrance fee stays exactly what the Ministry of Culture and Tourism charges at the gate, to the lira. You are paying us for the queue you skip — never for the ticket itself.

Who you’re writing to
A small team from Kuşadası
Ephesus By Locals is run by Gezginol Tourism, a licensed travel agency based in Kuşadası, twenty minutes from the ruins. Every guide who works for us holds a Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism license — the kokart — and lives within half an hour of the gate. Our first website went online in 2012; our senior guides have been walking this site far longer than that.
